Frequently asked questions
Companion care: your questions answered.
The questions families ask most about companion care.
What does a companion caregiver actually do?
Daytime company, conversation, gentle activity, light meal preparation, medication reminders, and a watchful eye, plus a daily check-in note to the family so you worry less.
My parent is independent but lonely. Is companion care overkill?
Not at all. Companion care is built exactly for mostly-independent relatives who benefit from routine and a familiar face, without the hands-on personal care that elderly care involves.
Can it become hands-on care later if needed?
Yes. If needs grow, your supervisor can switch to elderly care or add hours, with your approval, so the support scales with your parent instead of starting over.
Are outings and errands included?
Where you agree to them, yes. Walks, errands, and supervised activities are part of companion care, planned around what your parent enjoys and can manage safely.
Non-medical scope
Cleaneet caregivers do not provide nursing, prescribing, injections, IV, oxygen, wound dressing, catheter changes, restraint, diagnosis, or clinical decision-making. Medication is reminders only.
